Registrations are now open for theatre-obsessed young Aucklanders to take part in the YOUNG AND HUNGRY Festival – a showcase of three plays written especially for the text generation.

 

Presented by the Auckland Theatre Company, in association with the Young and Hungry Arts Trust (Wellington), the festival takes place at the Basement Theatre from 23 July – 6 August 2011.

 

Registrations are open to anyone aged between 15 and 25 years old. There are opportunities for actors, designers, stage managers, publicists and backstage crew, with all roles mentored by seasoned professionals.
 
You MUST register to audition or get an interview for YOUNG AND HUNGRY, but no previous experience is necessary. Everyone who registers to perform will get an opportunity to audition; everyone who registers for a production role will get an interview. Registrations close at 4.30pm on Friday 4 March 2011.

 

Auditions will be held on Saturday 19 March and Sunday 20 March, with recall auditions the following weekend, Saturday 26 March and Sunday 27 March. Production role interviews will be held Saturday 19 March.
